Mount bromo is located in east java, Indonesia. This is the one of active vulcano located in java. It have 2.932m height and around 10 kilometer canyon. Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a vast plain called the “Sea of Sand”. a protected nature reserve since 1919. The typical way to visit Mount Bromo is from the nearby mountain village of Cemoro lawang. From there it is possible to walk to the volcano in about 45 minutes, but it is also possible to take an organised jeep tour (you will find local people offering tour around mountain), which includes a stop at the viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan (2,770 m or 9,088 ft). The viewpoint on Mount Penanjakan can also be reached on foot in about two hours. In this time, mount bromo becoming one of most favorite place for local tourism or international tourism around the world.

The weather is cold, around 10 degree celcius. Around viewpoint of pananjakan you will find some local people selling hats, masker, scarf, and local food.The best part of this mountain is the sunrise, some of the visitor waiting from 4am until 6am to look this best scenery in this mountain. After watching the sunrise, you can go down from mount pananjakan and go to mount bromo. “Barren and dried” is the word that you can describe in this mountain. Walk, rent some horse, its optional to reach the mount bromo peak. You have to climb the ladder whose numbers reach 250 stairs.

Tips:

  • Prepare clothes and warm clothes are thick jacket, gloves, guard house, scarves, socks, and shoes are comfortable. Given the temperature on Mount Bromo is very cool. Especially when the morning around 4 am visiting Penanjakan.
